ZAPPE Packaging Technology now represented by Hexa-I-Care

ZAPPE Packaging Technology now represented in France

Hexa-I-Care now supports ZAPPE Packaging Technology in the French market, with the aim of developing industrial projects requiring a combination of packaging technology, process engineering and technical support.

ZAPPE develops and implements packaging solutions tailored to the specific requirements of its clients, particularly in the areas of blister, thermoforming and controlled sealing processes.

The approach is not simply to provide a machine. It aims to understand the product, the material, the packaging process and the associated industrial requirements in order to define a technically coherent solution.

Solutions tailored to industrial applications

Packaging projects are rarely standardised.

Depending on the product to be packaged, several parameters must be analysed:

  • film material and structure;

  • thermoforming behaviour;

  • packaging geometry;

  • temperature and sealing parameters;

  • repeatability requirements;

  • process traceability;

  • validation needs;

  • production and integration constraints.

ZAPPE can support these projects through solutions tailored to industrial needs, from process clarification to equipment definition and integration.

Blister and thermoforming

Thermoforming allows for the creation of packaging whose geometry is adapted to the product.

In an industrial project, performance, however, depends on the interaction between several elements:

Film → Heating → Forming → Product → Sealing → Control

The selection of the material and the definition of the process window are therefore important steps.

For technical, medical or industrial applications, the development of packaging should be considered as a engineering process, and not merely as the choice of equipment.

Mastering the sealing process

Sealing often constitutes a critical step in packaging.

Stable quality particularly requires mastery of parameters such as:

  • temperature;

  • pressure;

  • contact time;

  • materials used;

  • geometry of the sealing area;

  • repeatability of the process.

In applications where the integrity of the packaging is important, understanding and controlling these parameters become essential to achieve a robust industrial process.

ZAPPE has experience in developing packaging solutions that integrate these process issues.

Medical applications and sensitive products

In the sectors Medical Devices, Healthcare and other sensitive applications, packaging is an integral part of product and industrial process control.

Projects may require particular attention regarding :

  • the repeatability of sealing ;

  • the documentation of the process ;

  • the validation ;

  • the traceability ;

  • the reproducibility of parameters ;

  • the integration of quality requirements into the design of the equipment.

My experience in industrial and medical environments allows me to facilitate exchanges between development, quality, production, purchasing teams and the packaging solution manufacturer.

A local technical interface in France

As part of this cooperation, Hexa-I-Care acts as a technical and commercial interface between French manufacturers and ZAPPE Packaging Technology.

My role specifically includes :

  • understanding the client's application ;

  • clarifying technical requirements ;

  • structuring exchanges with ZAPPE ;

  • coordinating feasibility questions ;

  • assisting with price requests and RFQs ;

  • facilitating exchanges between engineering, production, quality and purchasing ;

  • monitoring the project during the various stages of development.

This approach directly corresponds to the positioning of Hexa-I-Care: to create a structured industrial interface that secures cross-border cooperation.

Beyond a machine: understanding the process

In many packaging projects, the initial question is often :

« What machine do we need? »

But the first question should rather be :

« What process do we need to master? »

The choice of equipment then follows :

  • from the product ;

  • from the material ;

  • from the level of protection sought ;

  • from the forming process ;

  • from the sealing process ;

  • from the production volume ;

  • from the quality and validation requirements.

This logic allows for a more structured approach to the project and reduces uncertainties before industrialisation.

Do you have a packaging project in France?

Are you currently working on :

  • a new blister ;

  • a thermoforming application ;

  • a sealing process ;

  • medical packaging ;

  • a new packaging line ;

  • a modification or evolution of existing equipment?

I am available in France to analyse the context of your application and organise an initial technical exchange with ZAPPE Packaging Technology.

The aim of this initial discussion is simple :

to understand the product, the material, the process and the industrial constraints before defining the solution.
